Nepal Health News, Kathmandu: The Nepal Medical Association has strongly objected to the reduction in the number of seats published by private medical colleges and the matching process issued by the Medical Education Commission.
In a press release issued on Monday, the association has urged the immediate halt of the current matching process and its re-initiation based on the pre-determined number of seats.
According to the association, the current matching notice was made public after rejecting the provision of financial benefits to postgraduate students in private medical colleges. The association has emphasized the need to provide living allowances to doctors in government medical colleges and urged for a review of the decision in the upcoming meeting of the Medical Education Commission.
