Nepal Health News, Kathmandu : Senior leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and elected Member of Parliament from Rupandehi Constituency No. 3, Deepak Bohora, has passed away. He breathed his last while receiving treatment at Om Hospital in Kathmandu.
His health had been severely impacted after contracting COVID-19 during the second wave of the pandemic. Although he recovered from the infection, he struggled with speech difficulties. Shortly after, he was diagnosed with cancer in his throat.
Efforts were made to treat him in both Delhi, India, and New York, USA. Despite his health challenges, he continued to stay politically active.
Bohora was appointed as Nepal's Minister of Health and Population on 31st Ashoj 2074 (October 17, 2017). During his political career, he played a role in efforts to reform the health sector.
