Nepal Health News, Kathmandu – Residential doctors have issued a warning of another protest. MD, MS, and MDS residential doctors from private medical colleges are preparing for a protest, demanding that their monthly salary be equivalent to the 8th-level government pay scale.
The Medical Education Commission has also been urged to improve the PG matching process. The commission has been asked to include seats from private medical colleges in the entrance exams and to fix the monthly salary for all residential doctors.
After the commission published a notice regarding the PG matching process on Chait 13, doctors accused private medical colleges of attempting to engage in bargaining over the issue.
The doctors have announced plans to boycott services indefinitely if their demands are not met within 24 hours. They believe this decision will impact the future of the medical sector. The doctors have accused the commission of shirking its responsibilities and manipulating the future of medical professionals.
