Nepal Health News, Kathmandu – The Medical Education Commission has decided to temporarily halt the postgraduate (PG) matching and admission process following an interim order issued by the Supreme Court to stop the online matching system for the open category.
Doctors who passed the PG entrance exam had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the reduction of seats allocated for private medical colleges. After a hearing on Thursday, the court issued a show-cause order to the commission and an interim order to halt the admission process.
The Supreme Court has summoned both parties for discussion on Chaitra 26. Following the court's directive, the commission has suspended all programs mentioned in its notification published on Chaitra 14.
